Through events, workshops, University partnerships, and a unique graduate curriculum, the DHAI supports experimental approaches to humanistic inquiry and fosters an interdisciplinary network of students, faculty, and staff.
Through the DHAI, you can connect with the Graduate DH Certificate Program, Events and Workshops, and DHAI Special Interest Groups. And be sure to subscribe to the DH Certificate Newsletter.
The Graduate Certificate Program in Digital Humanities
Students in the program enhance their departmental studies with digital and computational approaches, while retaining a core emphasis on humanistic interpretation and scholarship. The curriculum is flexible and sits lightly alongside departmental requirements, strengthening students’ research capacities and expanding their career opportunities.
Because the program is open to any graduate student in any department at UVA, students share methods, technology, and interpretation in a multidisciplinary intellectual community. Currently the program has ~50 students representing 13 departments.
